This is just a beginning, I hope, of a growing list of folks who are available for assisting in research projects requiring divers. If you would like to be included, please email me information re: your availability and experience, along with contact information (please send CV in PDF format. There is no other site like this on the internet, and I need your help to make it work (online donations now being accepted; see right column further down)! Thanks-Dida
P.S. Unless I note otherwise, I can't personally vouch for the individuals listed here. It is up to you to conduct your own due diligence.

Asst. Instructor/Rescue Diver with 20 years experience. Fully trained in Primary/Secondary care; First Aid, O2 Provider, CPR, etc. Fully Insured. Vast knowledge of multiple Marine environments and collecting/recording methods. Skilled in Underwater Photography. Able to drive small boats. Willing to due grunt work. Just starting 3 month stint at Monterey Bay Aquarium in California, as Asst. Supervisor for the Underwater Explorers Program, teaching surface SCUBA diving, conservation and marine ecology to 8 to 13 year olds. Work the rest of the year as a part-time diver/educator at Shedd Aquarium, Chicago. Available for 3 to 6 months at a time. Some pay would be great but willing to work for expenses. Please contact for more information or references.
PS: Also trained in compressor use/air tank filling, good carpenter and great cook!
I would be willing to work about anywhere, but would prefer a warmer climate and warmer waters! My personal dive equipment includes a 3mm, 5mm, semi-dry and drysuit. All equipment is in good condition and is covered by insurance. I carry my own personal liability insurance.
I'm a great set of extra hands and fins for someone needing just that. I have some experience with u/w photography and willing and wishing to learn more.
I do not have any small boat certs but have driven motorboats in a younger life! I have worked with divers on dayboats, liveaboards and ribs.
An inwater project would be wonderful doing -- but would also like to know if anyone also attaches teaching locals emergency first responder skills - CPR, first aid,aed Would love to see a project started where locals are given some of this knowledge. Also teaching locals to dive and to start protecting their waters. I am always amazed how many areas of the world where people make their living and gain their food for the oceans and yet the people are afraid to swim, etc.
I have lived in China and traveled much of Southeast Asia. I adapt well to multi-cultural environments and do not feel language has to be a problem - charades is a means of getting a point across.
"I am finishing a master degree in Oceanography in the University of Southampton. I did a Bachelor degree in marine science in France. I ama diver (CMAS ***).
