Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans Seeking Divers
Posted here aas a courtesy. Please do not contact me about positions.--Dida
The Audubon Nature Institute and the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas is looking for committed SCUBA divers who want to make a difference in the lives of animals and visitors while diving in our stunning Caribbean Tunnel!
Becoming an Audubon Aquarium diver takes a serious commitment: we require a six-month period as a Naturalist Guide before you can be considered for a diving position, in addition to basic marine education, CPR training, scientific diving certification and a year-long commitment of regular availability. This job is not for everyone. Those who do participate in our program, however, are richly rewarded through their experiences and the lives they touch. Diving in our Caribbean habitat gives an unparalleled level of intimacy and interaction with the animals and the visitors in a way that can’t be matched.
We pride ourselves on having extremely rigorous training to ensure the highest level of safety possible, and we boast some of the most dedicated and experienced scientific diving volunteers in the country. We’d love for you to become part of our team!
If you have consistent availability, a drive to contribute to one of the best institutions in the country, and a CPR and SCUBA certification (or willingness to become certified), then please call Julianna at 504 378 2575 for more information and an application.
Hope to see you soon!
